Our Mission

“Our Mission is to help people meet and follow Christ”.  This means helping people come into a relationship with Jesus, and helping them to grow toward maturity in Christ. We exist to fulfill these four key biblical purposes:  1) Worship God, 2)  Make Disciples (teaching), 3) Caring for One Another (Fellowship), and 4) Mission (Evangelism).  These  purposes will help us accomplish our mission, and they will guide us as we plan and evaluate our ministries.

1. God’s Word guides our church – It is the foundation for how we live our lives and how we do church together
2. Relationships are huge to our church – we deeply value authentic, loving, caring, family/type relationships – being and becoming a spiritual community
3. Family – we value the family, and we want to be a family. We value the differences in the generations, as we seek to be a multi generational church family
4. Shelby and Beyond – we love our town and truly value those in our community who are far from God. We also have a big heart for all the peoples of the world
5. Grace is God’s powerful means of reconciling people and our world to himself.  We seek to be people of grace in our daily lives and as a church
