Global Mission outreach through First Baptist happens in two vital ways. We’re actively supporting several missionary families who are involved in evangelism and discipleship in cross cultural settings. And, we’re very active in hands on short term missions involvement in locations all around the world!
Global Mission Support –
First Baptist is partnered with the Jason Carmean family. The Carmean family has served in Cameroon since 2014. Jason is the founder and Director of the Grace Brethren Bible Institute of Cameroon and also the Director for Theological Training in Africa. Christy serves as the Principal of the Greenhouse Elementary School which is an elementary school for missionary kids whose parents are serving in Cameroon. The Carmeans have 3 children, Micaela, Alyssa, and Josiah.
First Baptist is also partnered with the Eric Asp family, serving Jesus as career missionaries at the Kent State University campus as H2O Kent. This family grew up in our church and we’re thrilled to partner with them in this important campus ministry.
First Baptist is also partnered with Ron Morton, Regional Director for Word of Life Ministries. Ron is actively involved in coordinating international youth camps and ministries in the Caribbean, in South America, and Africa. Word of Life is helping to touch youth for Jesus, all around the world.
First Baptist also actively partners with Venture Church Network Midwest, God is moving across the Midwest States, and we are excited to be a part of this effort for Christ.
Short Term Mission Involvement-
First Baptist youth and adults are involved in short term mission trips, most often through the Word of Life Ministry. Teams have traveled to the Dominican Republic, to Bolivia, to Ecuador, and most recently to Kenya. Teams are involved in work projects in various youth camps, and also serve in the youth camp ministry during their time on site.
