Worship at First Baptist is a celebration of our life in Jesus Christ! It is positive, it’s upbeat, and it is relevant to our everyday lives. The First Baptist church family meets together for worship at 10:45 am each Sunday. The service is informal, dress is casual, and all are welcome to join us! Our music is biblically sound and includes traditional hymns and newer contemporary praise and worship music, involving a variety of styles. Nursery is available, and we are making plans to offer a Children’s Worship program during our regular worship service.
The careful teaching of God’s Word is central to every worship service. Our Pastor typically brings an expository teaching directly from the text of Scripture, drawing out the intended meanings from what is written in the original languages (Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic) in a verse-by-verse teaching format. The meaning of the text is then brought into context with the book in which it is written and then into context with the greater narrative of Holy Scripture. Messages are then applied to our lives as we live 'In Christ' - to point us to Jesus, our Lord and Savior; and ultimately, to bring Glory to God and Good to our 'Neighbor'. We believe in the inerrancy and infallibility of Scripture - that every word was inspired by God Himself - "God-Breathed" the Apostle Paul says - and as such, it is our only rule of Faith and Practice.
Guests and friends from our community are always welcome to join us for worship! Worship begins at 10:45am each Sunday, and generally lasts about 90 minutes.
