Greek Word Study:
Know: ‘eido’: properly to see; to know; to understand and to be sure of the force and meaning of something which has a definite meaning. (Eph 1:18)
Denouement: (French) the final resolution of the intricacies of a plot, as of a drama or novel; the place in the plot at which this occurs; the outcome or resolution of a doubtful (or a complex) series of occurrences.
Grace: ‘charis’: graciousness, of act; spiritual; especially the divine influence upon the heart, and its reflection in the life; spoken of the grace of Christ in providing salvation for us; also spoken of the grace which God exercises toward us, the unmerited favor which He shows in saving us from Sin; also of the grace exhibited in the pardon of sins and admission to the divine kingdom, saving grace.
Saved: ‘sozo’: to save, i.e. deliver or protect (literal or figurative): - bring safely, heal, make well, recover, save. From ‘sos’ (n.f.), safe, delivered. To save, deliver, make whole, preserve safe from danger, loss, destruction. Specifically, of salvation from eternal death, sin, and the consequences and misery consequent to sin. To save and (by implication) to give eternal life. Used substantively to refer to those being saved, those who have obtained salvation through Christ and are kept by Him. Deriv, ‘diasozo’: to bring safely through; ‘soter’: Savior
Faith: ‘pistis: credence, moral conviction (of religious truth, or the truthfulness of God, or a religious teacher. As a technical term indicative of the means of appropriating what God in Christ has for man, resulting in the transformation of man’s character and way of life. Such can be termed Gospel faith or Christian faith. Of Christ, of faith in Christ’s death, as the ground of justification before God, saving faith, found only in Paul’s writings. (Eph 2:8)
Gift: ‘doron’: a present; specially a sacrifice: - gift, given, present. N. from ‘didomi’: to give. Gift. As the Gift of Salvation (2:8)
Flesh: ‘sarx’: Human nature (with its frailties [physical or moral] and passions). As implying sinfulness, proneness to sin the carnal nature, the seat of carnal appetites and desires, whether physical or moral. Flesh, human nature, man.
Workmanship: ‘poiema: from ‘poieo’: to make or do: a product, i.e. fabric (literal or figurative): - thing that is made, workmanship. (From where our English word ‘poem’ comes) (Eph 2:10)
Created: ‘ktizo’: to fabricate, create, (N)-Creator. In the NT, to create and form in a spiritual sense, regeneration or renewal (Eph 2:10)

Greek Word Study:
Dead: ‘nekros: from ‘nekus’: a corpse, dead; a dead person;
as an adj: (fig) in opposition to the life of the Gospel, e.g. of
persons: dead to Christ and His Gospel and thus exposed to
punishment, Spiritually Dead. (Eph 2:1, 5; Col 2:13; Rev 3:1)
World: ‘kosmos’: from ‘komeo’: orderly arrangement; (by
imp) the world, inc. its inhabitants (lit or fig) [moral] In the
Jewish mode of speaking: the present world, the present
order of things, as opposed to the kingdom of Christ; hence,
always with the idea of transience, worthlessness, and evil
both physical and moral, the seat of cares, temptations,
irregular desires. (Eph 2:2 and many others)
Sons: ‘uihos’: hwee’-os: (fig) means the son of
something as one connected with or partaking of; sons
of disobedience. Followed by the genitive implying
character, quality (Eph 2:2)
Passions: ‘epithumia’: a longing (esp. for what is
forbidden), a lusting; Noun meaning strong desire in a
bad sense: irregular and inordinate desires, appetites,
lusts; the lust of the flesh means carnal desires (Eph 2:2)
Flesh: ‘sarx’: Human nature (with its frailties [physical
or moral] and passions). Noun meaning flesh of a living
creature in distinction from a dead one. By metonymy,
flesh as used for the body, the corpus, the material
nature as distinguished from the spiritual (pneuma,
spirit). As implying sinfulness, proneness to sin, the
carnal nature, the seat of carnal appetites and desires,
whether physical or moral (Eph 2:3 and many others);
by metonymy flesh, human nature, man.
By nature: ‘phusis’: (by imp): natural production,
(lineal descent), by extension: a genus, species (Fig)
native disposition, by birth, mankind. (Eph 2:3)
Made us alive together: ‘suzoopoieo’: sudzo-poy-A-oh:
to reanimate conjointly with, (fig): to make alive
together with; from sun (together) and zoopoieo (to
revitalize, to make alive, come to (give) Life) (Eph 2:5)
Raised us up with Him: ‘sunegeiro’: soon-eg-I-ro: to
rouse (from death) in company with i.e. (fig) to revivify
spiritually in resemblance to Christ: - raise up with
from ‘sun’ (together) and ‘egeiro’ (to raise): to raise up
together. Used in the NT of being raised up together
with Christ. Sunegeiro does not refer to merely being
raised in the likeness of Christ’s Resurrection, but
rather, it points to a condition or work effected by
union with Christ in His resurrection, taking place in,
and proceeding from it. (Eph 2:6; Col 2:12-14; 3:1)
