Noun from euaggelos (n.f.), bringing good news, which is from eu’ (good) and aggello (n.f.) to proclaim, tell. In the NT, spoken only of the glad tidings of Christ and His Salvation, the gospel. In the writings of Paul, the gospel plan of salvation, its doctrines, declarations, precepts, and promises. (Eph 1:13) Salvation: soteria: so-tay-ree’-ah: rescue or safety, (physically or morally): - salvation, save, strength. Noun from soter, a savior, deliverer; in the Christian sense, soteria is deliverance from sin and its consequences and admission to Eternal Life with blessedness in the kingdom of Christ. (Eph 1:13) Believed: pisteuo: pist-yoo’-o: ; to have faith (in, upon, or with respect to a person or thing), (by implication) to entrust (especially one’s spiritual well-being to Christ) Sealed: sphragizo: sphrag-id’-zo: (from signet): to stamp (as w/a signet ring or private mark): signet; the stamp impressed (as a mark of genuineness) Promise: eppagelia: ep-ang-el-ee’-ah: an announcement of divine assurance of good; from epagello: to make promise.
