Broke Faith- ma’ al: to cover up, to act covertly i.e. treacherously – to break faith, Sin, Be unfaithful; a verb meaning to violate one’s duty (almost always denotes a willing act usually against God Himself)
Sin: Any lack of conformity to God’s will in attitude, thought or action, whether committed actively or passively. (“Biblical Doctrine” McArthur/Mayhue)
